Sales & Business Development Representative

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with owner to establish sales process for each stage of the sales funnel
  • Work with owner to create phone scripts and other sales materials to help establish the sales capability for the business
  • Work with leadership to establish sales goals and plan to achieve outcome
  • Source leads using online tools, directories, internet research, database and other sources.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling to increase interest in our products and services
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns
  • Contact potential customers, understand their marketing needs, and work with owner to craft a custom solution for the customer
  • Set appointments with potential clients and company leadership for prospects requiring additional follow-up
  • Keep up to date records of customer interactions in our CRM
  • Conduct sales presentations remotely using Skype, Google+ or other technologies
  • Negotiate and close sales on behalf of the company within guidelines
  • Assist in the renewal of current customers
  • Perform customer support, marketing assistant, and account management duties as needed
  • Continuously improve each phase of the sales process through feedback
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

Requirements

  • Sales experience in working in IT, marketing or related domain preferred
  • Excellent verbal and good written English communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, high motivation, and to think critically to resolve customer issues
  • Good Microsoft office skills, especially Word and Excel
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • BA / BS from a university of a field related to communications, marketing, or other related skills preferred
